We are going to kick off this newsletter with details of our new competition.

WIN A TRIP TO THE ANNUAL SARDINE RUN IN PORT ST JOHNS

Do you have a local or overseas holiday adventure you would like to share with us? 

Whether it’s your favourite holiday memory, your latest holiday destination, weekend away or even a day trip experience – sharpen your pencils and get writing. You don’t have to be a Pulitzer Prize winner; you just need a story to tell!

To enter the competition, submit your story of 500 or less words with accompanying photo and/or video clip (Optional). Two lucky winners and their partners will win a trip to Port St Johns on the Wild Coast for the Annual Sardine Run from the 4 – 7 June 2009.

All travel stories received will be published on the X-Club Website. Terms and Conditions apply.

The Catchiest Caption win a trip to Zanzibar competition has come to an end and we are thrilled to announce the winner – Mr Rodney Caruana.  Not only is Rodney one of our Brokers but also a longstanding Cross Country Client. Well done Rodney – may you and your wife have an unforgettable time in Zanzibar.  We look forward to receiving the photos.

Something about our winner:

I am 47 years old, married to Yvonne with 2 children (Kayleigh 9 & Aidan 16). I have been insurance broking for 23 years. I enjoy riding my Harley at weekends. Other interests include flying (I used to be an instrument rated pilot but I am no longer actively involved) and I enjoy the occasional game of golf and collect good red wine.

I have also ridden 5 Argus cycle tours and 94.7’s but have given that up (it’s a lot more fun going up Hekpoort on a Harley than on a bicycle!)

PS – you can also mention that the Zanzibar Trip is the biggest prize I have ever won in my life! It still has to sink in.

Events in March - We have had an incredibly exciting March getting to know our Brokers and X-Club members. We spent a wonderful evening with Alan Goodway, owner of the 4x4 Offroad Adventure Club in Gauteng and one of our Journalists, at their annual awards ceremony.  We hosted a Barnyard function for 60 brokers in Gauteng and we had a 4x4 off road day with some of our Cape Town Brokers at Klipbokkop Mountain Resort and Conference Centre outside Worcester. Thanks to Gerhard, PG, Neil and Elmarie for an amazing day.
